Here’s how to add extra security to your Facebook account

Following this step, Facebook will use the phone number configured on your account to configure the selected option. However, if you wish to modify the number in question, you simply need to:

  2. Choose “Use another phone number”.

How to receive alerts in case of unrecognized connections on Facebook?

Receiving alerts is a way to strengthen the security of your Facebook account. Whenever an unknown device attempts to connect, Facebook will notify you. To enable this feature:

  • Choose the settings you like and hit “Save Changes” when you’re done.

There you go, the option has been successfully configured. When you start receiving the alerts, just tap on “It was me” when you are the author of the connection. If so, tap “That wasn’t me” and Facebook will walk you through securing your account.
